Alternatives to Ted?

I really like it so far. Jentos, I mean. I don't know whatever @MikeHart meant about bugs, but so far I've only encountered one bug that is purely visual and doesn't really affect much and features of Jentos far outweight that single drawback. Perhaps Mike had downloaded an old version way back and just assumed the current one is just as buggy.

Yes it was quite a while since I used it. Crashes when you try to save your code, crashes when you use code completition, stuff like that. And for me personally that is a nogo regarding a dev environment. But I am glad that it works for you.

Really, it should replace Ted IMO.

You go here against your own statement, that all the tools should be written in CX :D

I am sure it will be perfectly fine as a 3rd party tool as I don't have the resources to maintain it. And from what I heard from @Martin, he doesn't have time for it too. But he is the one who should decide that anyway as CX is his baby. I am just helping out here.

@nerobot: Good job on that IDE. You should announce its CX support in the Tools subforum.

No crashes whatsoever with current version. And while I want all the tools to be written in CX, including IDE, in the meantime we need a competent IDE in place until it can be replaced by one written in CX and Ted isn't it. The only bug I've seen is purely visual (basically syntax highlight not always working properly), but you can live with that.

Stop assuming things and try it again.
