I recently looked into Unreal engine 5 and Playstation 5 and they both looks so amazing. I have to admit that I never cared much for 3D before but this really is something special. After the current 2D game I really wish to look into something similar.

This kind of graphics demands a lot of power of course but it's nice that it exist. I probably want to do something that is doable on most mobile devices. What's your favorite 3d library to use together with Cerberus-X?

Mind we don't have much of a choice, but mine are Vortex2 and AppGameKit. The first one is pure CX and the last one requires you to purchase it from TheGameCreators and then you can interface it via CX.

I don't see why it shouldn't. But CX is not a commercial project. And I am not responsible for faulty projects they ship for tier2 which they had in the past and I fixed them via code.

This reminds me that need to purchase AGK studio to see if my tool creates a valid module for it.

Mobile version? That toy thingy that they have released back in the day?

Btw. as you are a Linux person, with CX then its only Vortex. My AGK wrapper is not ready for Linux.

I'm not a Linux person I do use macOS, i just use Linux right now because I like the matte screen on my Linuxmachine. It's nice for me eyes when coding. I will certainly check out Vortex as well regardless, been interested to do that for a long time.

Is the Cerberus gonna keep the support for it in the future?

Even if Cerberus continue to support it, the future of AGK is very dark at the moment. I can not recommend it.
It did not received any major updates since 2019 only a couple maintenance updates. They refuse to share any plans and roadmap for years. They seems to have a hard time to find a market for AGK.

In their December 2021 newsletter they mentioned someone is working on a runtime that is going to be powered with MonoGame to target game consoles but TGC did not provide any further comments when I asked on Discord if MonoGame is considered to be the future of AGK.

In their January 2022 newsletter the only info they shared is that they have a "healthy looking roadmap" for 2022 for AGK. That's it. No more details shared and they did not announced to come back with more news later maybe after the release of their other product called GameGuru which is supposed to be released in March. We can only speculate what does "a healthy roadmap" really means. An other year of maintenance, maybe a MonoGame DLC or a new version we got to pay for again, AGK 3 or Studio 2. We just don't know.

I admit until now TGC did a great job with maintaining AGK for free but because of this uncertainty around the project since 2019, personally at this moment I recommend not to get in to AGK for anything more serious than prototyping if you did not get in to AGK until now.

I just tested the tools to build the connecting to AGk and something has changed on OSX in the last version or 2. It isn't working properly. So when I find time, I will try to fix it.
