Hi all,

I am wondering if there is a solution out there to do asynchronous loading of sound/images/etc with the progress updates?

Thank you

Cheers

Html5 in particular, i also noticed ios is not too fast or my ipad is too old (gen 2)

I am not on my computer but there asyncronous loading commands for html5. Did you try these? Or were you looking for complete, drop-in solution?

Regarding ios? Slow? Please open a separate topic and some detaila plus with sample code.

I mean there is a black screen for some time I suspect when the resources are loaded, I don't expect them to load quickly anyways, just want to show progress to the user....

Yes you get that when you load many assets in OnCreate. Look into OnLoading. It is to render stuff when the loading in OnCreate takes to long.
Also If the loading takes to long in ios, the app might crash so it might be better to look into something else aka switch to OnUpdate to load content.
