Hi folks,

after having some talks with Martin, we have decided to cut down CX's online presents. Martin is super busy with real life and other stuff. My job efforts and also private stuff raised big time over the last weeks. Maintaining CX AND taking care of its online presents takes to much time. Sorry guys.

So the following changes will be made in the next days or are done already:

- Closed the twitter account already
- Closing Patreon
- Closing the itch.io site. Downloads can then be made from the resouce section of this forum.
- Removal of the Wordpress page and redirecting the domain to this forum.

Thank you for your support in the past. We have appreciate it very much. But we would feel bad if we leave these channels open with the current ability of support.

I hope you guys have can understand and have no problems with this move.

Best wishes
Michael

EDIT: Changed my mind, only Patreon will go. See my latest post below.

Maintaining CX is what matters the most. Each user can go on promoting Cerberus X on social networks and inside apps using splash screens, readme files and so on. Thanks for everything!
I'm actually finishing something using CX (still months and months away from releasing it though since I don't have much time for it) and I'm happy it still works so well...

I'd love to think restlessly promoting CX online via Twitter accounts and all would bring many news users every month but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. What else can we do?!

I'm a bit curious about your decision to close down the itch page. It seems like it could continue to serve as a useful independent mirror to host the downloads. You could just throw up a notice to check these forums for changelogs, etc., and then not worry about posting stuff there.

Thank you for work you do! I cancelled my Patreon pledge as per your request, but would honestly be happy continuing to support you there without any expectation of activity. Just helping keep these forums open is enough for me.

Again, take care of yourself. <3

The reason to remove web presents is mainly to reduce the workload to maintain CX and its online presentation. I tried and I don't think it worked out like I thought it would regarding making CX more popular.

The reason to cut ways to pledge/donate/buy is mainly that we think that people have higher expectations that we/i might not be able to meet. We both feel bad about this.

For now I have put Patreon on pause. On itch.io you can't buy it for your own price anymore. Just the download. Both sites are Martins so I don't know when he has time or motivation for it to close them down totally.

And thank you and the others for your support in the past. It is greatly appreciated.

Just keep going, you've done a good job so far. You don't have to get major updates every month, maybe you can put out a tutorial or two every now and then so new people can pick it up.
