As we fight constant problems regarding permissions on OSX with TED, as a first stept I would like to change the location where it stores it settings, to the ones that you should actually use by the OS manufacturer.
For an example, on windows it could be C:/Users/<USER>/AppData/Local/<APPNAME> and on OSX ~/Library/Application Support/<APPNAME>. This way the settings would also not be lost when you update Cx to a new version.
Same goes for created html docs. They should be created elsewhere. And examples should be copied into a writeable path so you can compile them there without a problem.
The current situation forces changes to app permissions and stuff like that and goes against OS rules.
Any objections?
