I downloaded this tracker a few days ago hoping that I could quickly produce a few short loops for the upcoming game jam and my other projects...

It's rather unconventional but I was able to string together a few tiny loops quite quickly without getting hung up on instrument envelopes, effects and so on - in the past I've used LMMS ( https://lmms.io/ ) extensively but I always get so bogged down with fiddling with synth settings etc that it takes me forever to produce even short pieces! I've tried the free Android demo too and it works well - the full Android app is a few pounds/dollars/euros; I imagine it would be ideal on a tablet.

I've attached the first very short loop I created which anyone is welcome to use, it's a sort of RPG victory/happy/success tune - it has no proper mixing, instrument attack settings or effects but I might work this up to something better. Either way, not bad for a few minutes work and not the typical output from most tracker users :D

Maybe we should have a forum-members-only resource section where we can upload graphics, models, music or whatever?

Care to explain why you suggested this?

Your tune is up to a great start.

Yup, especially the attack and release settings. But it is definitely something that could be worked out. Great job.

Btw. That page which you linked to get Pixitracker is gold. Did you saw the generative songs?

Well I know I've created content over the years that I'd be happy for others to use without restriction: audio, graphics, 3d models etc. (not sure where most of them are at the minute though!) and thought it might help CX users rather than them having to go searching the net and checking licenses. Could also be used for requests where those looking for content could ask if anyone has, or can create, something suitable. I suppose such request could go in an existing forum section though. Just a thought.

SunVox is pretty 'heavy duty', similar to LMMS in some ways. For now I just wanted something to create quick tunes without getting 'bogged down' with features. Other audio links you might like:

I am totally with you, put why locked down to forum users?

To save you bandwidth so you're not just serving up free content to others, who might use it in their (non CX) games! Like I said, it was just a 'spur of the moment' thought :D

Ah, must confess I've never looked there! I haven't visited the website very often either. If people want to request resources (or help with creating them) then might a forum section be better?

Great. I'll dig out some tunes to start with.
