This year I have decided to start some serious projects to try and make a bit of money,
if you're willing to share some information / resources that helped you, what information
can you provide that could help developers make some money from their creations?

I don't make a living from my games, but I found the talks by Jake Birkett very inspiring

Yes it was thanks holzchopf
I would love to even make small change from this but making games has been a child hood dream of mine and i finaly have the time to learn progtamming. As much as i love next gen, Not trying to make the next 3d block buster, i know 2d will never die.

I think the ones that actually do make a fulltime living from MX or CX don't roam around here.
The best advice i can say is this:
Find your niche market, build a fan base, keep working on your games. Eventually it will pay off.

I'm up to about 3 quid in just over a year. ;-) will take a while to buy my mansion. But they're out there at least.

I suppose my target audience is the retro and casual gamers. Got 3 games out on the Android Play store (all thanks to Cerberus) but a few more free on PC and Amiga. :)

I haven't done much plugging or marketing though which is bound to be a factor.
