bfxr was (is) the original one that was created back when Flash was hot, this is a 100% identical re-make that doesn't use flash code nor native executables. So they are exactly the same, except the UI has been improved.

If you are into old school sound trackers. Then you should try OpenMPT.

If you use mp3s, then you will know that looping the file leaves a delay gap. To try to remove that delay gap, try mp3loops.
 
Thanks. I have used OpenMPT for the last 20 years and It's a nice choice of tracker. LMMS and Cubase are my two other favorite software for making music and editing sound. I will check out mp3loops and see what that is about.
