Saving power?

Just a wondering out of the blue (I havn't seen any game take much power but as a precaution) ;
is there something that you can do to save additional battery in your games? No Idle or sleep instruction.
On some platforms I know you can use OnUpdate with a low number, but that's it right?

That is what I would do. Or just render every other frame.
