I wanted to share a few resources where you can get your sound & music. These are just a few on top of my had of course, and the list can be added on forever. But these are the ones I personally find very useful and they have an amazing high quality.

Cerberus-X's different platforms will use MP3 / M4A / WAV / OGG files depending on what platform you're aiming for. WAV is common for all. Individual soundfiles must be under 1MB each on some platforms like Android (except you are always to have one dedicated sound to be the "background music", and it has no such limitation.

Retro sound effect generator
This is a generator so you set up some parameters and it spits out a wav for you,
very handy. And it has a random preset setting which is especially nice.

SFX Packs & Royality free music free as mp3 format

Free loops

Free SoundFX

For personal, educational or research purposes, there's also BBC's own huge library
t
hat they've made available online now.

CONVERSION
------------------
You can definitely use different software and services to convert ("render") MOD's & MID's into MP3 / M4A / OGG / WAV.

* Render mods into MP3 / M4A / OGG / WAV you can use a trackers for instance.
https://openmpt.org/

* Make mid files to MP3 / M4A / OGG / WAV you can use software or online tools.

Of course there's many music and audio -communities online where you can get additional ideas and resources but this might get you started!

There is a resources section in the forum. Will move your post there.

Good that sounds all well

I also heartily recommend Audacity as a free and open-source tool for general audio editing of any variety (from podcasts to lasers). Bosca Ceoil is also an amazing music maker that is super simple to get started with.

Thanks. Audacity is well known but I think I excluded it bc I personally dislike the software coming from SoundForge I was abit harsch I think and ditched it, II went with an old version Goldwave (v4.. superold) instead. It's not really better but I just like the User Interface.

There is also Wavosaur and Ocenaudio, which falls somewhere in-between those two apps when it comes to ffeatures.

Ohh, I've not heard of those. Will definitely be checking them out. Thanks for the heads up!
