Ok @Petimat, found a bug in one of the source files regarding extracting of a file extension. Should work now.
Attached are new versions of the mesh- and fonttool.

Thanks Mike! However if I run your meshtool.exe it's window just pops up and disappears immediately.

Did you place everything into the vortex folder? I will zip everything later on.

No,I thought it's a built exe so I can execute it after unpacking.
...but it behaves the same way in the vortex folder.

It's working now.It seems that the "data" folder was missing from your first zip.So your first attached file is just working fine even outside the vertex folder if I copy the data folder in it.It just couldn't find the pics for the icons.

Is someone using this great 3d engine? I have a problem with the meshtool, actually it closes (crash?) as soon as I want to load a simple b3d mesh.
