What happened to Mark Sibley?

I registered today here.
I used long time Blitz products before:
BlitzBasic, Blitz3D, BlitzPlus, BlitzMax, Monkey X.
But not Monkey 2... and because the community was 'destroyed'.

So i don't really know what happened then.
Why was the community destroyed?
Is Mark Sibley alive?
Found he another job or project?

And... i looked to projects that still alive:
BlitzMax = BlitzMax.org
Monkey X = Cerverus-X
Monkey 2 = ??? nothing ??? last version 2018 = dead?

welcome to the forum. As you have mentioned, CX is the continuation of Monkey X. @Martin and myself had started CX in 2017 and we are now in our 4th year. @Martin has left the team a while ago to pursue his game development endeavors but with the help of the community and with now @Phil7 and @Holzchopf in the team, we have a great base of talent to push CX further.

BlitzMax was reincarnated by Brucey and he is developing it further under the BlitzMax NG moniker. On SyntaxBomb your will find some people who use that, but I don't think there is a big BMaxNG community somewhere. With Blitz3D I only know of Blitz3D NG but the development is VERY SLOW and there is only its Github page. I don't know nothing about a continuation of Monkey 2.

What happened to M.S. and what he is doing these days, I don't know much. Just that he took on a fulltime job as C developer job back when he stopped working on Monkey 2. I think his twitter account is still active.
