simple map editor?

Hello
Just windering what everyone used as a tile map editor?
I'm not needing anything fancy as all my map shaping and edging is auto genrated in code. I just need something to draw the shape.

Preferably I'd like an editor with "layers" and a grid option in the gui so I can see what a screen looks like
 
I forgot about Nappy. I like that one has all I need. Thank you
